  3. Communism A governmental and economic system where everybody is supposed to be equal.

  4. Democracy A governmental system where everyone in the country has equal rights

  5. Capitalism An economic system where individuals own property and capital

  6. Capital Anything used to make assets to be sold, traded, or used. (companies, resources, etc.)

  7. Karl Marx “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.” --Karl Marx Wrote The Communist Manifestoand given credit for being the person to outline how modern communism works.

  8. Bourgeoisie In communism, the upper class. The people who take advantage of everyone else.

  9. Proletariat In communism, the working class. People who are disadvantaged.

  10. Per capita Purchasing power per capita by country Per person

  11. Totalitarian A government where most power is given to one person (normally dictatorship).
