NOMA Master Programme 2008 – 2012 • M Ed in Environment Education and Sustainable Development at Kathmandu University • Partners in the North: Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), Oslo University College (OUC) • Partners in the South: Kathmandu University (KU), Dhaka University (DU) • Financial support: NORAD through SIU

Programme objectives To implement M Ed programme that promotes environment education and sustainable development; To promote cultural values, indigenous knowledge and best practices that are conducive to the sustainable management of the environment; To contribute towards developing positive attitude and values as well as promoting the notion of environment good governance;

  4. To build capacity of the partner institutions sharing knowledge in teacher education with a focus on environmental change and sustainable development; To develop a strong network among national and regional teacher education institutions that have focus on environmental change and sustainable development

  5. Programme and course structure Two year divided into four semesters CGPA system 56 credits of which is thesis is of 6 credits Entry requirements: 3-year bachelor's degree with min 2nd div or 2.5 CGPA Courses: Parbat ji

  7. Graduates employment opportunities • Secondary and higher secondary schools • NGO’s and INGO’s • Development projects • Self-employment

  8. Candidates selection • Selection of Bangladeshi candidates by DU • Selection of Nepali candidates by KU through DOE and by itself • DOE candidates all secondary school teachers on unpaid leave
