Members of ROCLING-SIGIR • The ROCLING Special Interest Group on Information Retrieval welcomes members working in all aspects of information storage, retrieval and dissemination, including conventional information retrieval, networked information retrieval and other relevant research such as information agent, multimedia information retrieval, data mining, database integration, natural language processing for information retrieval, etc.

3. Mission • The mission of the ROCLING-SIGIR is to advance information professionals and the filed of information retrieval in the community of Chinese. This will be achieved by: • .Providing methods of communication and continuing education for information professionals and researchers • .Encouraging research, development and applications that advance the field of information retrieval • .Increasing public awareness of the field and its benefits to the community

4. Recent Activities • 研討會與專題演講舉辦 • IRWK, Pacific Science Inter-Congress, Next IRAL • 學術網站建立(http://rocling.iis.sinica.edu.tw/sigir) • 活動消息，國內外相關研究資源介紹 • 資源收集共享 • 長期收集資訊檢索相關研究所需資源，如全文資料庫，語音資料庫，分類資料庫，索引典等等，提供學術使用 • 標準評比建立 • 對國內學者較關心的研究項目，如文件檢索，文件分類等建立標準評比。
