  3. Academic Standing (page 36) Good Academic Standing: • Humboldt GPA above 2.0 • Cumulative GPA above a 2.0 Academic Probation: • If any GPA falls below 2.0

  4. Academic Disqualification (page 36) • Freshman (<30 units): below 1.50 • Sophomores (30-59.9 units): below 1.7 • Juniors (60-89.9 units): below 1.85 • Seniors: (above 90 units): below 1.95

  5. Credit/No Credit (page 44) • 24 units count towards degree • Can NOT be major courses • Doesn’t affect GPA • Only one optional Credit/No Credit course per semester

  6. Grading System (page 45) Humboldt uses a +/- grading system • A………..4 • A-……….3.7 • B+……...3.3 • B………..3.0 • B-……….2.7 • C+………2.3 • C………..2.0 • C-……….1.7 • D+……….1.3 • D………..1.0 • F………...0.0

  7. Repeating Courses (page 48) • May repeat up to 16 semester-units with previous grade replaced • May repeat up to an additional 12 semester-units with grades averaged • A course can only be repeated twice (taken a total of 3 times) at HSU, after that the course must be taken elsewhere.

  8. Graduation Requirements • Take (and pass) the GWPE (Graduate Writing Proficiency Examination) • Have at least a 2.0 GPA • Graduation evaluation • At least 120 units • Degree check • Need to apply for graduation at least 3 semesters beforehand
