EBSC MISSION STATEMENT Provide a quality aquatics experience for community members of all ages, interests and skill levels. To accomplish this, provide programming in three areas: competitive, educational, and recreational.
EBSC Philosophy Provides opportunity for each swimmer to become the best swimmer possible with the talent that he/she possesses.

EBSC TRAINING GROUPS The Elmbrook Swim Club consists of eight (8) different training groups to accommodate the various abilities and commitment levels of our athletes.
EBSC TRAINING GROUPS Placement in groups is based upon stroke technique, training ability, speed, and commitment. with the final placement based upon the professional judgment of the coaching staff. EBSC TRAINING GROUPS
EBSC TRAINING GROUPS Swimmers are placed in the group which will ensure the most learning and success.
NOV I & II The Novice Group consists of swimmers ages 6-9. This is the introductory EBSC group for the majority of young swimmers joining the program. The emphasis in the Novice group is technique and learning to enjoy the sport of swimming and competition. NOV swimmers are offered (4) 1 hour practices per week as well as two monthly competitions. The minimum commitment level for the NOV group is 50% of practices and competitions. EBSC TRAINING GROUPS
AGT I & II The AGT Group consists of swimmers ages 7-12. This is a transition group between the NOV and AG 2 Group. The emphasis in the AGT group is technique and the introduction of more swim training. AGT swimmers are offered (4) 1.25 hour practices per week as well as two monthly competitions. The minimum commitment level for the AGT group is 50% of practices and competitions. EBSC TRAINING GROUPS
AG II The AG 2 Group consists of swimmers ages 7-12. AG 2 swimmers have committed to swimming at a high level. The emphasis in the AII group is technique and the further establishment of swim training. Goal setting, nutrition, and other “dry” topics are introduced with the AG 2 Group. AG 2 swimmers are offered (5) 1.5 to 2 hour practices per week which includes dry-land training as well as two monthly competitions. The minimum commitment level for the AG 2 group is 50% of practices and competitions. The average commitment level for AG 2 swimmers is 60-70%. EBSC TRAINING GROUPS
AG I The AG 1 Group consists of swimmers ages 9-12. AG 1 swimmers have committed to swimming at the State and Regional level. The emphasis in the AG 1 group is technique and a substantial amount of swim training. AG 1 swimmers are goal orientated and motivated competitive swimmers. AG 1 swimmers are offered (5/6) 1.5 to 2 hour practices per week which includes dry-land training as well as two monthly competitions. The minimum commitment level for the AG 1 group is 60% of practices and competitions. The average commitment level for AGII swimmers is 80-90%. EBSC TRAINING GROUPS
SEN III The SEN III Group consists of swimmers ages 13-18. All EBSC swimmers move into the SEN III Group at the age of 13 as this is the introductory group to the EBSC SEN Program. Group The emphasis in the SEN III group is technique and continued training and personal development. SEN III swimmers are offered (5/6) 1.5 to 2 hour practices per week which includes dry-land training as well as two monthly competitions. The minimum commitment level for the SEN III group is 70% of practices and competitions. EBSC TRAINING GROUPS
SEN I & II The SEN I & II Group consists of swimmers ages 13-18. The SEN Group is the top level of the EBSC program. SEN swimmers are fully committed to the sport of competitive swimming. The emphasis SEN Group is excellence in and out of the pool. SEN I & II swimmers are offered (7/8) 1.5 & 3 hour practices (am&pm) per week which include dry-land training as well as two monthly competitions. The minimum commitment level for the SEN II group is 80% of practices and competitions. The minimum commitment level for the SEN II group is 90-100% of practices and competitions. MASTERS EBSC also has an adult competitive swim training group. The Masters practice twice per week for 1.5 hours. EBSC TRAINING GROUPS
COACHING STAFF The Elmbrook Swim Club has a staff of 11 Coaches. All EBSC Coaches are minimally certified in the following areas: Red Cross CPR Red Cross First Aid Red Cross Lifeguard Training Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches USA Swimming Level #2 Background screen Athlete Protection certified Concussion awareness certified USA Swimming Foundations of Coaching certified
COACHING STAFF KRISTEN Malloy NOV I Coach Kristen is in her ninth year of coaching at the Elmbrook Swim Club. She swam for Elmbrook, Brookfield Central High School, and then completed 4 years as a varsity swimmer at St. Norbert College. Coach Kristen is a first grade teacher at Blessed Savior North in Milwaukee. She spends what free time she has with her husband and son, Tim and Jonathan.
COACHING STAFF Andrea Divine NOV II Andrea recently joined the EBSC coaching staff after returning to Wisconsin from San Jose, CA where she worked as an age group coach. Andrea who grew up in Colorado swam and coached at the University of Wisconsin. Andrea has traveled the world extensively.
COACHING STAFF Tricia Casper NOV, AGT & AG Assistant Tricia returns to coaching with EBSC after a 9 year hiatus. Tricia has taught lessons to adults and children, trained triathletes and coached state qualified high schools swimmers. During college she ran the rec. lesson program at UC – San Diego. Tricia and husband Jeff have two boys, Tyler and Brandon, who swim for EBSC. She volunteers coaching soccer, baseball and at school. Tricia also enjoys taking ballet classes at the Milwaukee Ballet School.
COACHING STAFF AngellaIllgen NOV, AGT & AG Assistant Angela is in her fifth year coaching with Elmbrook Swim Club. She swam for Elmbrook, Brookfield Central High School and just finished her last swim season at Carroll University. At Carroll she is going for a major in organizational leadership and a minor in math. Coach Angela is planning on graduating in spring of 2015. She is also going into her third year assisting Krista coaching for Brookfield Academy. In her free time she enjoys being with her family and friends.
COACHING STAFF Paul Vasquez AGT I & II Coach Paul has been working for EBSC for 5 years. Before joining EBSC, Paul coached a number of high school and club teams in southeastern Wisconsin since 1999. Paul is also familiar with the pool from a swimmer's perspective as he swam sprint events and butterfly with Wauwatosa East High School and at UW LaCrosse. Currently, Paul is a special education teacher at Butler Middle School in Waukesha. In his free time Paul loves to spend time with his family, Lisa, Christopher, Dylan, and Liam, especially when it involves Disney activities, from which he gains all of his Disney trivia knowledge.
COACHING STAFF Mike Rose AG I & II Mike has been involved with Elmbrook Swim Club and Brookfield Swimming as a swimmer and coach on and off since 1974. He has served as the High School Coach at Brookfield East since 1983 and has coached more than 30 Wisconsin State Champions and High School All Americans. Mike teaches Calculus at Brookfield East and is married to Carol who coaches diving at Brookfield East. Mike has daughter, Abby, who is a member of EBSC and 3 sons who used to swim with the club. Twins Adam and Spencer now swim at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and Matthew, no longer swimming, recently graduated from UW-Madison and is working in Madison.
COACHING STAFF Dwight Sandvold Dwight is the Health and Wellness Director and Head Swim Coach at the YMCA at Papst Farms. He is the president of F.A.S.T. Fitness and Sports Training and has more thant 25 years experience in Sports Medicine, Coaching and Training. He works with individuals of all ability levels designing programs that result in fitness and sports performance goals being obtained. His clients are running swimming and playing football at the Div. I level as well as competing in events like the Boston Marathon and Ironman competitions.
COACHING STAFF Krista Nowak SEN Assist Coach Krista is in her 4th year coaching with Elmbrook Swim Club. She competed for Greendale High School and continued her swimming career at UW-Stevens Point. She is also going into her sixth year coaching high school boys' and girls' swimming for Brookfield Academy. In her free time she enjoys swimming with the Elmbrook Master's and training for multi-sport events.
COACHING STAFF Dick Zache SEN III For the past 35 years, Coach Zache has worked within the collegiate, USA, and high school levels of swimming, the last ten of which has been with the Elmbrook swim club. Through that time he has had the great fortune to have coached several national level USA, NCAA qualifiers, high school All-Americans and numerous state high school champions. During his coaching career he has also been part of the governing bodies at the USA and High School associations of swimming as a representative attempting to enhance the sport. Coach Zache has also been teaching history for the last 25 years, at Germantown High School.
COACHING STAFF Brent Boock SEN I & II Head Coach Brent is in his 20th year as a member of the Elmbrook coaching staff. At Elmbrook he has enjoyed working with hundreds of swimmers striving to reach their full potential including many state champions, zone level swimmers, and national top 16 swimmers. Coach Boock enjoys running, biking, swimming and leading an active life.
COACHING STAFF Fred Russell Masters Coach Russell has coached swimming and water polo for 45 years, over 25 of which with Elmbrook! He has coached a national champion(s) at every level including age group, junior national, senior national, collegiate, and masters. Coach Russell is married to Karen and shares his home with his pet birds Herman and Zuchi.
COACHING STAFF Trina Shaetz Club Administrator Trina has been Administrative Assistant/Registrar sin 2007. She grew up swimming in WI and swam for Wheaton College as a sprint freestyler and breaststroker. Trina was the EBSC Senior III in 1994. Trina has two daughters, Emma and Grace, swimming for EBSC. She can answer any questions or provide any help you need regarding EBSC. Trina also works as a photographer for her own studio: Capture Photography.

HELPFUL HINTS • Drop off your swimmer no earlier than 15 min. prior to practice. • Pick up your swimmer no later than 15 min. following practice.
HELPFUL HINTS • When dropping off your swimmer please check that there is a coach present.
HELPFUL HINTS • Please feel free to talk with your swimmers coach. • We are available 15 min. before and after practice.
HELPFUL HINTS • Swimmers should bring they’re bags onto the pool deck, the locker rooms are not secure.
HELPFUL HINTS • The lost and found for the pools are located in the foyer in between the locker rooms.
