Patient point of view: • How do I feel about this disorder? • I can’t play certain sports like football, volleyball, and cheer. I can also go to a camp called Camp Wannaklot.
Patient point of view (continued) • What am I afraid of? • Not really anything. I just don’t like that I can bleed and bruise easily. • Is there anything to be happy about? • YES!!!! I can go to fun informational camps that teach you how to treat your disorder in a fun way.
Patient point of view(continued) • What will my friends think? • They don’t really think that this will affect me. They also try to be careful with me. • How will they treat me at school? • I don’t think von Willebrand will affect my learning and I can be just like a regular kid.
