  3. FWA’s Mission • To Educate People About Rural Issues and Advocate for Water Rights, Private Property Rights, and the Sustainability of Agriculture

  5. Why Screen Your Diversion? • Comply with the Endangered Species Act 4(d) Rule • Protects: • Water Rights • Property Rights • Fishery Resources (In a Current State of Collapse)

  6. ESA 4(d) Rule • Protective Regulations for 14 Endangered and Threatened Fish Species • Illegal to “Take” Any Fish Species Listed as Threatened or Endangered • It is Assumed Unscreened Diversions Contribute to “Take” • Screening Protects Impacts on Endangered and Threatened Fish Species
