Word Play • Adding in literary sound devices such as: • Alliteration: repetition of beginning sounds • “Coach Cal’s Cats” or “David Stern’s stumble” • Assonance: repetition of vowel sounds • “How the mighty do tire” or “fake players of the game” • Rhyme: words with same sounds • Puns: a play on words using an implied meaning. • “I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger.
