Merit & Performance Salary Adjustment Awards Previously Now No language on any of the following New Language Effective July 1, 2011: Consultation w colleagues re: merit/PSA policy Annual distribution of procedures Normally no PSA in first 3 years Allocation by Deans for Heads & Directors Faculty Relations
Length of Service Awards • New Language – Effective July 1, 2011 • Length of service Awards at years 20 and 25 • Amount: • 1/3 of a Career Progress Increment • For those past year 20, pay out over two years • Eligibility: • Continuous service • Must be in rank eligible for Career Progress Increments Faculty Relations
Heads and Directors • Language in the collective agreement - in conjuncture with University Policy 22 • Terms and conditions in writing • Role • Recognition • Stipend • Administrative leave • Teaching release Faculty Relations
Instructor, Senior Instructor, Professor of Teaching • Instructor: • Criteria clarified • Senior Instructor Effective Date: to be determined • Criteria expanded • New Rank of Professor of Teaching Effective Date: to be determined • Outstanding achievement • 15 new CPI increments Faculty Relations

Tenure & Promotion Reviews Everyone involved in review will consider: • “Provisions of the collective agreement, • Concepts of procedural fairness, • Appropriate standards of excellence across and within faculties and disciplines” President must consider: • “All relevant contextual factors”.
