  4. AboveとOver 絵を参考にしよう。 • Aboveには、Onと同様に、「～の上に」と言う意味があるが、こちらは接触せずにいることです。 • （例）There is a blue bird flying above the trees. • Overにも、Aboveと同様接触なしで上にあると言う意味があり、「～を越えて」や「～に広く覆って」という意味もあります。 • （例）There was a small bridge over the river. Over

  5. In front of と Beside In front of Beside • In front ofは「～の前に」と言う意味である。 • （例）There are three doors in front of him. • Besideは「～のそばに」と言う意味である。 • （例）He stands beside us.

  6. BelowとUnderの使い方 • 共に「～より低い位置にある」と言う意味だが、Underは何かに覆われているもの表すのに使い、Belowは物理的にすぐ下にないもの、あるいは、必ずしもすぐ下にないもの表すのに使う。 • 例えば、机の下はUnder the table • 地球で表すとBelow the earth 地下ならどこでもよい 机の下で汚職する
