Louisiana Purchase The Louisiana Purchase was an incredible deal for the United States. The final cost was less than three cents per acre, at 15$ million in total. It was paid to France, who had owned this territory. Congress and Jefferson, who was the president at the time, approved the treaty made between the U.S and France. The “U.S. control of Louisiana on December 2, 1803”. The Louisiana Purchase was one of the most important land acquisitions ever made by the United States and many say that it was what really qualified U.S. as perminent world power and rival of Europe.
SACAGAWEA Sacagawea helped Lewis and Clark out on their long and successful journey around the U.S.A. Sacagawea had tons of on important things they needed to know during their journey. Sacagawea helped Lewis and Clark communicate with the other tribes.
Oregon Trail Most pioneers took the route to Oregon using the Oregon Trail. Pioneers moved to Oregon for mostly the same reasons. The pioneers on the Oregon Trail faced a lot of trouble. They needed to bring supplies with them to keep them alive. The pioneers had a schedule that they had to follow each day. Those who made it to Oregon had a very significant life! The problems on the trail were- Cholera, a very deadly disease, bad weather, mostly thunder storms and hard rain, the wagon didn’t have any safety features so if a child tripped under the wagon it was mostly death. The last, problem was crossing river. Most people drowned. Those who didn’t were usually fleeced. The pioneers brought a lot of supplies with them to keep them alive. They brought food, tools, activities you could do on the trail and home items such as dolls and toys. The pioneers had a very detailed schedule. They would wake up very early. Eat breakfast and head out. Then they would stop for lunch and a break. Finally after lunch they would head out for the last time for the last until it was night and it was nighttime. The pioneers moved to Oregon because they wanted farm, better health and life conditions, pioneers also wanted to get away from problems they had in the east. Last pioneers wanted to seek adventure and new experiences. The people who made it to Oregon found good land and lived a very happy life!

Translate-To turn from one language into another. Communicate- To import knowledge of; make known. Pioneer-A person who is among those who first entered or settled on a region. Significant-Important or consequence.
