Now, more than ever, do we need to emphasize the status of our environment. After learning about the guidelines needed in learning science, let us now explore the guidelines we will be following as we continuously strive to make a better environment.
SEIRI –SORT - SURIIN The first S means taking out unnecessary things and disposing them properly. Guide questions for Seiri: • Are these things useful? • Are these things necessary?
SEITON – SYSTEMATIZE - SINUPIN Seiton means to arrange necessary items in a proper order so that they can easily be picked up for use. Seiton abides by the rule that everything has reason and likewise a specific place or location.
SEISO – SWEEP - SIMUTIN Seiso means to clean literally. The presence of dust serves as an indicator of the need for seiso. Get into the habit of cleaning everything. Do not wait until you see the presence of dirt. Allot two minutes every end of the period for clean up.
SEIKETSU – SANITIZE – SIGURADUHIN ANG KALINISAN Seiketsu allows us to maintain a high standard in every places that we go to at all times. Practice leads to perfection, maintaining a clean area at all times can become a healthy and beneficial habit for everyone.
SHITSUKE – SELF DISCIPLINE – SARILING KUSA Shitsuke allows us to train others in maintaining and promoting self discipline. A good habit can become a characteristic with value. When you practice cleanliness everyday and everywhere, you promote a positive value to everyone.
