Qomolangma BR- Pendeba program • Pendeba: a person for the benefit of community The reserve and the villagers made a common development in protection; Hygiene and health condition have be improved; Old Pendeba guiding the young Pendeba, and the knowledge is spontaneously inherited.
Conclusion Training Pendeba Many excellent Pendeba even got the qualifications as rural doctors, and teachers. This became an important incentive for successors, so that “Pendeba” project had a strong capability for self-reproduction and regeneration. Shankou mangrove BR- traditional social structure and multi-participation local clan chieftains have a special status and appeal in BR; In 2002, the BR manager organized clan head meeting ,and established “Shankou Clan Head Mangrove Conservation Group” . The social structure of call-upon and management by the local clan heads was applied and the community participation was driven by the clan head participation.
