ACC.NHLBI Partnership • The ACC and the NHLBI have entered into a contractual relationship to collaborate, as co-equals, in TheHeart Truth Campaign. • The campaign seeks to create awareness leading to action that heart disease is the number on killer of women • The Red Dress has become a powerful symbol of this campaign • The ACC and the NHLBI will co-sponsor the 10th Anniversary Red Dress Fashion Show in NYC on February 6, 2013 (2 billion media impressions) • The ACC and NHLBI are planning a series of health screenings, awareness programs and events to make this an ongoing and national event
National Heart Health Awareness Day • CardioSmart announces a partnership with major national healthcare institutions and academic medical centers across the nation. • Free heart risk screenings and educational programs will be offered to each local institution. • The CardioSmart team will send each location a “Heart Health Awareness ToolKit” including tablecloths, volunteer t-shirts, and resource kits for patients at risk for heart disease. • ACC will promote this event through local and national media, social media, ACC member communications and within each healthcare facility.
