  2. WALTER WEHTJE (1897-1990) gjorde Atlas Copco i Nacka utanför Stockholm till en internationellt framgångsrik tillverkare av tryckluftsutrustning. Länge hade företaget en annan huvudprodukt, nämligen dieselmotorer, vilket dock aldrig blev någon stor framgång. Under Walter Wehtjes tid som vd 1940-1957 avvecklades motorsidan samtidigt som man satsade stort på tryckluftssidan. EMIL SIEURIN (1877-1962) gjorde en avgörande insats för Höganäs AB genom att uppfinna en metod för att tillverka järnsvamp. Den introducerades av företaget 1911. Höganäs hade bildats som en stenkols­gruva 1797 och är i dag en framgångsrik tillverkare av järn- och metallpulver. Företaget har kunnat överleva så länge därför att man avvecklade gruvverksamhe­ten och i stället byggde vidare på Sieurins uppfinning.
