In the 2 weeks before the survey, 5% of children under age 5 were ill with cough and rapid breathing, symptoms of ARI. • 75 percent of these children received advice or treatment from a health facilityor provider. • 79 percent were given antibiotics.

Key Findings 2007 JPFHS- DoS and Macro International, Inc. • 94 percent of children have all the recommended vaccinations (excluding BCG) • Vaccination coverage increases with mother’s education. • More than 80 percent of children with ARI or Fever were treated with antibiotics. • More than half of children with diarrhea were given ORT or increased fluids; 22% received no treatment.
