15 minute video on life of Daniel and his family. Video includes information on building the homestead. 45 to 60 minute guided tour of home includes information on authentic pieces of era. Program geared for 4th grade to compliment Missouri history. Working kitchen can be used during the tour on request. 3 floors are toured. BoonesfieldVillage • Three to four buildings in the village are included on the student tour. Village tour takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Tour includes: • One room school house • Old Peace Chapel • General store • All historical buildings from Missouri • Special events include: Pioneer Days in September and Candlelight Tour in December • Presently re-building more homes in village
Daniel Boone Home Defiance, Missouri Hwy 40 West to 94 West to Hwy F Five miles north on F Approximately 35 miles west of St. Louis Student tours offered Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. year round. $5 per student. One teacher free per 20 to 25 students. $6.50 each additional adult. Regular tour costs: One hour tour: $7 adults $4 children. Two hour tour: $12 adults $6 per child. Home is tour guided only. AdditionalInformation PowerPoint Presented by: Debbie Kackley A script is available to teachers upon request. Script includes activities for students. Wear sunscreen, bug repellent and good walking shoes! Picnic tables located in the front of the grounds. No food or drink allowed in tour area. Make sure your students eat a good breakfast. The tour starts at 10:30 and runs from one to two hours – depending on inquisitive students. 2 weeks notice for tour, no special contact person.
