  2. The Zebra Shark is yellow on black stripes when it’s young, and a yellowish brown color with dark brown spots when it gets to be an adult. This shark has a broad head, large eyes, and small mouth,

  3. This shark lives in the centeral, western, and Indian Pacific Oceans. They live in fresh and saltwater, and are found around coral reefs, sandy bottoms, and anywhere that has warm water.

  5. Weight and Length It’s 2.5-3 m. long and weighs about 66lb.

  6. The female shark lays bown of a purplish balck egg.The egg can be 5-7 inches long. These eggs are fertilized in the females shark body.

  7. Lifespan The Zebra shark lives 25 years in captivity and the same or 30 years in wildlife.

  8. They have no bones in their body,but they do have a skeleton that is made of cartilage, a tough fibrous substance.

  9. Adaptations It’s fins help him adapt to swimming, and their sharp teeth let them eat their food.

  10. This sluggish species is a local shark which means it doesn’t migrate, and only will go about 100 miles from their habitat. They can only swim forward unlike most fish.

  11. They eat crab, gastopod, bivalve, mollusks, shrimp, small fish, shellfish, and crustanceans.
