RSVP ASAP: awln_moderator@yahoo.com Elizabeth Miu-Lan Young co-founded Inter-Change Consultants in 1987. She has been active in the New York City Asian Community for the past 36 years. A co-founder of the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in NYC (formerly the Chinatown Health Clinic), she trains college interns in community health issues. She taught the pilot Asian American Experience course at Hunter College and the University of Southern California. Liz served as the first Director of Project Reach - a program working with Chinatown street gangs. She also worked in a garment sweatshop to better understand the immigrant experience. Liz has presented “Political Savvy” and “Kick Butt!! Just Not Your Own” workshops for employees of color in Fortune 100 companies, Hong Kong and Jakarta and provided cross-cultural teambuilding and civil-capacity in East Timor. She is a member of Asian Women in Business and has served on the faculty of Asian Pacific American Women Leadership Institute (APAWLI), where she conducted “Fending Off Culture Clash.” Liz co-leads the five-day leadership intensive for the NCAA Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females. She also developed and implemented Division III’s groundbreaking Ethnic Minority and Women Internship Program for the interns, their supervisors and mentors. Marjorie Jones, a golf professional for over 25 years, brings a unique blend of playing and teaching experience to Chelsea Piers. She has played on professional golf tours in Europe, Asia, Australia, and in the United States on the LPGA. Marjorie played in eight British Opens, five United States Opens, and won numerous events including the Australian Open, Northeast LPGA Team Championship, Metropolitan PGA Women's Match Play Championship and the Metropolitan Women's Open. She currently is a member of the newly formed Women's Legends Tour, whose members include Nancy Lopez, Jan Stevenson, Pat Bradley and Patty Sheehan. Marjorie, with over 10 years of teaching experience, is a Class-A member of the LPGA and PGA and holds a masters degree in physiology. She has worked with some of the best teachers in industry including Dave Pelz, Jack Grout, David Glenz, and most recently with Pia Nillsson and Lynn Marriott, Annika Sorenstam's coaches.
