Race Management GroupRoger Palmer NRO,IRO,IJ. • Terms of Reference • 1.To maintain recognised standards of qualification in Race Management skills at all levels. • 2.To provide UK racing with sufficient quantity and quality of Race Officers. • 3.To communicate with Race Officers & Clubs on Race Management matters. • 4.To promote the national acceptance of the principle of standard sailing instructions and notices of race. • 5.To develop UK Race Management in line with ISAF practices. • 6.To maintain and update the knowledge and skills of Race Officers in line with developments in the sport

R M Structure • RYA RMG 8 persons • meeting 4 times a year • Regional Race Management Coordinators 14 • Plus Channel Islands • Tasks - Advance Race Management in their Region • by Running Regional Race Officer courses and Regional RM Conferences. • Field local RM queries • 12 accredited RRO instructors to aid delivery of RRO courses
RMG to fulfill it’s objectives • Review and update Race Officer scheme • Run the scheme with coordinators and the RYA Education Officer D C-J • Produce material for National and Regional Conferences • Produce Regular Newsletters. Communicate with Race Officers • Produce leaflets with useful information (at back of hall) • Answer and debate race management issues. • Update and develop web site
