  36. THE SEDITION ACT • MAKES IT A CRIME TO CRITICIZE THE PRESIDENT OR CONGRESS EITHER VERBALLY OR IN PRINT. • NOTE: A VIOLATION OF THE 1ST AMENDMENT • 20 REPUBLICAN EDITORS ARE ARRESTED FOR PUBLISHING ARTICLES CRITICAL OF THE PRESIDENT.
