  7. * Wellness Break - 2nd Recess - Library Any grade 4 to 8 student is welcome to come to the library for 2nd recess to have some QUIET down time instead of going out for recess. The Wellness Break will allow you to settle into a quiet corner in the library to read a book, do some drawing or some quiet, independent activity. No talking, chatting, doing homework, or technology allowed. CYW DROP IN for Grades 6, 7 and 8 - every Mon, Wed & Fri LIBRARY GREEN ROOM with Mrs. Bouchard

  8. CYW Drop-in *GRADE 6, 7, & 8 RECESS GROUP (IN THE GREEN ROOM) IS CANCELLED FOR TODAY AND WEDNESDAY!

  9. The Kindness Campaign is HERE! Kind Quotes to make you smile and believe in yourself were delivered last week. If you received one of these PLEASE take time this week to enjoy it before you pass it on. Remember Kindness is all about paying it forward.

  10. Mrs. Liotta and her Grade 3 class are looking for classes in our school to join our Kindness campaign. Your teacher can sign up by clicking the link on the next page. Choose 1 month that your class would like to take the extra initiative to brighten up someone's (or a groups) day. You can do one (or more) random acts of kindness as a class during that month.

  11. Mrs. Liotta will send out reminders about which classes are on board each month. Teachers can send Mrs. Liotta pictures of the class preparing, performing the act of kindness or the happy aftermath! :) Mrs. Liotta will post these on the announcements for everyone to see!   12. Junior Girls Basketball There will be a Junior Girls Basketball practice today at 1:10 pm in the gym. Please make sure to eat a snack before you come and don’t forget your permission forms.

  13. Junior Boys Basketball Please return tournament permission forms to Mrs. Verstegen or Ms. McCartney’s room following announcements.

  14. Intermediate Girls Basketball Practice There will be a practice this morning during first break. Remember that no food or drinks are allowed in the gym. We will also have a practice Tuesday morning at 8:15.

  15. Worsley Halloween Haunt On Thursday, Worsley students in grade 2 to 8 will have an opportunity to go through our own Haunted House set up in our changerooms. $2 to get in! Bring in your toonie!

  16. The 200 Day math, maTH, MATH Journey!! Halloween is coming!!! We will do some pumpkin math for the younger students, and on the next slide is a puzzle to figure out... Using this ten frame, try to solve for how many more pumpkins you need to get the answer...
