8. Using Netscape Composer If you don’t have Netscape, you’ll need to download it from www.netscape.com. You need 64 megs of ram to use the newest version 7.1. Otherwise, download an earlier version.
Open Navigator and under Window in the tool bar choose Composer.
In Composer choose “open file”, under file heading and find the template file on your desktop.
You are ready to begin editing the template file.
9. Finding your templateThe idea behind this exercise is to provide you a folder on the webserver which you can edit from your personal computer. Open network neighborhood.
Find a computer named Webserver and open it.
Find your folder in folder. Right click on it while you drag it out onto your desktop.
Choose “create shortcut here” from the right-click menu.
Inside the folder is a file named “template”. You can store all your web page stuff in this folder.
10. Using Netscape Composer to Edit Your Template Naming the file—save as command.
Don’t worry if all the images aren’t present when you open it.
Adding text like a word processor.
Adding links to other places on the web.
Adding photos or art.
Previewing your web page.
Saving the file after you are finished.
