Intercommittee and Event Points • All intercommittee and event points will always be designated as such • Intercommittee points – participate in another committee’s event • Event points – activities put on by our Events Directors or a Committee’s established focus project that includes all of UF Premed AMSA • Medical College Forum • Light the Night • Relay for Life • These will be updated within three days of the event

Excused Absences • Valid Excuses: • Class, Labs, Exams, Emergencies • Excused Absence Forms (Recurring and One-Time) • Found at ufpremed.org • For classes, labs, and exams, you must have your excused absence form turned in BEFORE the meeting you wish to be excused from • For emergencies, illness, etc., you must have your form turned in within THREE DAYS of the absence • Your responsibility to get the information that you missed • Talk to your directors, Secretary • Listserv

  11. Unexcused Absences • For one unexcused General Body Meeting absence: - Must Complete 10 total points (intercommittee + events) - At least 4 point must be Event Points - Individual case basis: email secretary@ufpremed.org

  29. What are we offering? • 2nd year medical students will teach you how to do the following: • Take blood pressure • Neuro exam • Respiratory exam • Cardiovascular exam • Head and Neck exam

Benefits • Small group style, so you get one-on-one attention • We provide all the equipment! • You can understand what you see on tv, and more importantly, be a valuable member of the medical team even when you are shadowing/ volunteering • You are helping fund DR HELP and the health outreach trip we will be taking during the Spring next year

  34. AMSA Intramurals Interested in making new friends? Want to take a break from school and have fun? Like sports? If you said yes to any of these questions, come play intramurals with your fellow AMSA members! This fall we will be playing in flag football, indoor soccer, kickball, and volleyball. We will be playing in co-rec leagues at the recreational level, so guys and girls of all skill levels are welcome! You don’t need any experience in sports to play, just come on out and be ready to have a blast. A full schedule will be posted soon, so make sure to keep an eye on both the listserv and AMSA Facebook page. If you have a question, contact Sean Taasan at staasan@ufl.edu.
