Enrollment Phase Best Practice: • “Dealer Investment” template • Go to www.GMPrograminfo.com
On-Site Consultation Phase • Once enrollment and as-builts are compliant, Dealer is contacted by Gensler to schedule dealership consultation: • Zone Manager is notified of on site consultation date • Scheduling will occur in the quarter you are assigned • A Gensler consultant is assigned to the project and becomes the single point of contact • Gensler’s role is to draw a compliant imaged facility
On-Site Consultation Phase • Best Practice: • Invite dealer selected local architect and/or contractor to consultation • Attend consult and be prepared to discuss solutions
Design Intent Document (DID) Phase • Once initial design drawings are received, please review and respond within 10 business days • If no response after the 10 day period, Design Intent Document (DID) will be sent • Gensler produces DID containing “schematic design” • Conveys the general, conceptual intent for the finished facility • Your local architect must elaborate and coordinate with any other facility upgrades and produce construction documents for code compliance, bidding and permits

Verification Phase • Start of Construction • Mid-Point Notice • Construction Complete
Verification Phase – Start of Construction • Advise Zone Manager when Construction has begun • 2 of these 7 criteria are required, vary by site: • Photo with date stamp of major excavation (footings, site utilities, etc) • Photo with date stamp of major exterior building demolition (fascia removal, roof and wall demolition, entrance reconfiguration) • Photo with date stamp of major interior building demolition(floor tile removal, partition/ceiling removal, interior barricades, etc) • Copy of Building Permit issued by city • Copy of signed Contract for Construction showing contractor’s determination of cost of project • Photo with date stamp of significant building materials stored on site • Copy of P.O. or shipping invoice for long-lead items (glass doors, elevators, ACM)
Verification Phase – Start of Construction • Best Practice: • Order “Pardon our Dust” graphic displays to entice customers with future facility design • Two Banner Sizes for Exterior Display: 4’x8 or 5’x12’ • 2’x4’ Foam Core for Easel Display (Interior). • Note: Custom print for each dealer using Gensler rendering.
Verification Phase – Start of Construction Best Practice: • Go to www.GMPrograminfo.com • Press release templates for key milestones in facility completion • Dealer Investment • Dealer Groundbreaking • Dealer Grand Opening
Verification Phase – Tile Best Practices Best Practice: • Allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. • Use qualified, professional installers. • Recommend epoxy grout (most durable, easiest to clean) but: • Installers must avoid epoxy residue on tile surface (very hard to remove); professional installers have no problem doing this properly. • Use grout that matches or is only slightly darker than floor tile (per DID)
Verification Phase – Tile Best Practices Best Practice: • Floor tile install should be done last (after other heavy construction is completed) • If tile install is NOT last, floor must be covered to protect it. • Require deep cleaning from installer before final “sign off”. • Helps identify any defects • Follow manufacturer’s specs for tile cleaning • Posted on www.gmfacilityimage.com • Do NOT place any sealers or finishes on floor tile. • Creates “haze” on tile that is very difficult to remove. • Tile does not need any sealers, etc.
Verification Phase – Midpoint of Construction • Submit copy of Electrical permit or Evidence of electrical inspector’s visit • Send image to gmfi_cd-review@gensler.com • Response email will be sent when submission is received and notify of compliance status
Verification Phase – Construction Complete • After facility is 100% complete, provide required verification documents on a compact disk to Gensler • No email submissions allowed • Allow 10 business days for Gensler to review • Response email will be sent when submission is received • Verification photography requirements can be found on www.gmfacilityimage.com and also in the Design Intent Document
Verification Phase – Construction Complete • Best Practice: • Notify Zone Manager when construction is completed • Review the Verification Submission training video on www.gmfacilityimage.com • Consider verification photography enrollment at www.gmfacilityimage.com to have a Gensler representative take your verification photos • Allow 10 business days for review and potential resubmission if non-compliant • Keep a copy of your CD in case of loss in mail
