Welcome Parents!

Welcome parents to sixth-grade Humanities with Miss Drouin! This English Literature class by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt focuses on "Moon Over Manifest." Students will engage in reading comprehension, text analysis, and various writing genres like narrative, informative, argumentative, and research. The class covers the writing process, English grammar, and bellwork on Wednesdays. Students have an independent reading requirement and will explore civilizations and historical highlights in Social Studies. Additional opportunities for extra credit and homework assignments are provided.

  5. Independent Reading Requirement • Accelerated Reading Program • Each book has a point value. • Students take book tests during class trips to library or before or after school in library.
