Small Group Discussion & Prayer How can we pray for your kids? What areas do you struggle in parenting?
Sermon Outline Children (vs. 20) Fathers (vs. 21)
Colossians 3:20 “20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord.” Scripture
Children, obey your parents in ALL things Note: All means each individual thing. Command
POINT ONE A child’s obedience is not about pleasing their parents but about pleasing the Lord. Pleasing God is the central issue in parenting rather than pleasing us.
Colossians 3:21 “21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.” Scripture
Command Fathers, provoke not your children to anger.
POINT TWO We provoke our children to anger when we fail to love them biblically.
CONCLUSION See you next Sunday! Come forward if you need any prayer or assistance.
