O.K. SO WHAT IS EXPECTED AGAIN? Positive behavior . . . as defined by our ‘Behavior Matrix’.
WHAT IS POSITIVE BEHAVIOR? TAKE TIME TO WORK TOGETHER • Using the materials supplied, create a sample ‘Behavior Matrix’ with a partner. • Place your positive behavior examples in the appropriate places on the blank matrix. Make sure you have examples for every school location and topic. (i.e. I am responsible in the hallway when…) YOU DECIDE!
So … What do you get out of this? • Positive learning environment • Good communication with your teachers and other adults in the school • The chance to shine and be recognized! • REWARD DAYS!!!
WHAT ARE BLUE CARDS?! • When following the positive behavior matrix, teachers or other staff will sign your card • A certain amount of signatures will put you in weekly drawings, monthly prizes and activities and marking period prizes. • Negative signatures may result in lunch detention, or teacher detention • If negative behavior continues, regular student codes of conduct will apply
BLUE CARDS give youthe credit you deserve for your positive actions.
What can they be used for? • Drawings for prizes • Purchase of ‘stuff’ from the 6th Grade Store • ATA paraphernalia (another word for ‘stuff’) • Special events (dances, sports, etc.) • A variety of mysteryitems • SEPTEMBER’s Monthy prize is a Middle School Tailgate!!! (Check my wiki for upcoming monthly prizes) • Give us YOUR ideas!!
