  1. We cannot live without others • Genesis 2:18 -20 (NKJV) 18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.

  2. We cannot live without others • Genesis 2:18 -20 (NKJV)20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.

  10. We cannot live without others • What is the nature of this relationship? How should others relationships be handled in light of this one?

  11. We are the “body of Christ” • Man must listen and seek. (Heb 11:6)

  12. We are the “body of Christ” • Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) - But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

  13. We are the “body of Christ” • Man must get out of himself and look to another.

  14. We are the “body of Christ” • Man must get out of himself and look to another. • Our God has promised to respond to those who “seek Him.”

  15. We are the “body of Christ” • Man must get out of himself and look to another. • Our God has promised to respond to those who “seek Him.” • God through David often instructed the people about this. (1 Chron 16:10-11)

  16. We are the “body of Christ” • 1 Chronicles 16:10-11 (NKJV) - Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! 11 Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

  18. How do we work with God? • Hosea 2:19-20 (NKJV) - “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy; 20 I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.

  22. How do we work with God? • Proverbs 6:16-19 (NKJV) - These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

  23. How do we work with God? • God expects man to build a heart based on His written word.

  24. How do we work with God? • God expects man to build a heart based on His written word. • This is a major test of our relationship to God. Many think affirming the relationship in words is all that is needed. (Jn 8:31-32)

  25. How do we work with God? • John 8:31-32 (NKJV) - Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

  30. How do we work with God? • 2 Corinthians 11:1-4 (NKJV) 3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—youmay well put up with it!
