Field Trip Letter and Expectations • Let your family know about the field trip! • Review expectations for the field trip: • Wear comfy clothes & walking shoes. • Everyone Participates! • Be a good listener. • Stay with your group.   7. 3. Ag-Citing at the Clay County Fair… • ISU Staff & an Ag Ambassador will meet you at the Ag Learning Center at the fair. • You’ll be given a red Ag-Citing vest to wear during your adventure. A Closer Look… Ag-Citing… A program of Iowa State University Extension.

Do Activities & Take a Barn Walkabout… • 3rd Graders learn about: Iowa Grains & Livestock, Soil Composition, and Biotechnology. • 4th Graders learn about: Biotechnology, Renewable Energy, and Livestock Technologies • Both Grades tour the fair with an Ag Ambassador. Write Thank You’s & Do Follow-up Activities… • Thank Ag-Citing sponsors like: Monsanto, Clay County Fair, Clay County Growers, & Farm Bureau. • Thank your principal, teachers, and chaperones. • Do follow-up activities from the teacher packet.
