Why coordination of goods in the municipality of Växjö? • Political excersice from the Centre & Right-wing alliance • Examine if a coordination of goods can be implemented in the municipality • With focus on reduce transportwork and emissions, improve road safety, reduced transport costs, increase the proportion of organic and locally grown products

  4. Baseline review • 390 units • 1900 deliveries per week • 185 suppliers • 73 distributors

  5. Result from the simulations • Two distribution zones -> Central and Outer Area • The driving distance (mileage) * was 33% shorter • 49.5% fewer stops • 250 minutes less unloading time/day

Goods worth 60MSEK is included in the UCC, we expect to reduce the prices of goods with 8-12%, and the freight cost is about 5 MSEK/yr Current situation • Onedelivery adress to the 450 municipal units • Delivery plan for all units • E-purchasing system • Lowerprices per product (2-8%) • All unitspaystheirownfregihtcost per delivery • 75 % less emissions comparingtodaywithyesterday (RME in the lorries) • 80 % fewer stops ( 1900 / 350 per week)
