  5. Tobacco use, excess weight, poor diet, and inactivity account for two-thirds of all cancers in the US • (Harvard Report on Cancer Prevention Volume 2: Prevention of Human Cancer. Cancer Causes and Control. 1997; 8:S1)

  6. Are all Cancer same? *There are many different types of Cancer. *Treatment depend on the type of Cancer.

  7. Common Cancer in KSA • Breast Cancer • Colon Cancer • Cancer of head and neck areas • Lymphoma • Lung cancer • Blood cancer (Leukemia) etc. etc.

  8. What are the early symptoms of Cancer?

  9. Early symptom of Cancer *Noticing a lump or growth or mass. *Bleeding *Persistent cough, un explained weight loss. *And many other symptoms. *Need to see the doctor early.

  10. Screening for Cancer? • Mammogram • Low dose CT scan of chest. • Colonoscopy. • PSA • Other screening as per local guideline and prevalence of disease.

  14. Is Cancer Curable? • *If diagnosed early, Cancer can be cured. • *In last 10 years extensive research in this field has led to good hope for longer life of patients with cancer. • *Never give up. Hope for the best from Almighty Allah.
