  3. Biotic  Fish Describes living factors in the environment Coral

  4. Abiotic Water Describes the nonliving part of the environment, including water, rocks, light, and temperature   Sand

  5. Organism A single, living thing

  7. Population A group of organisms of the same species that live in a specific geographical area

  8. Community All the populations of species that live in the same habitat and interact with each other

  9. Ecosystem A community of organisms and their abiotic environment

  10. Biosphere The part of Earth where life exists

  11. Carrying Capacity The largest population that an ecosystem can support at any given time

  12. Symbiosis A relationship in which two different organisms live in close association with each other

  13. Mutualism The bee gets pollen The flower gets pollinated A relationship between two species in which both species benefit

  14. Commensalism A relationship between two organisms in which one organism benefits and the other is unaffected

  15. Parasitism The tomato hookworm will be eaten alive A relationship between two species in which one species, the parasite, benefits from the other species, the host, which is harmed The baby wasps will get food
