  3. Overview • Illuminate will be used at the secondary grades, including K-8 and K-12 schools instead of DataDirector • The GradeCam will be used for scanning the End of Course Assessments • Testing window: • Traditional – 5/19/14 to 6/6/14 • Year Round – 6/30/14 to 7/18/14

  4. GradeCam • Works with the 860 Samsung doc cameras • Works with the integrated camera on the teacher tablets • Does not currently work with 850DX cameras. The GradeCam company has provided for free, inexpensive document cameras that can be used for scanning Illuminate answer sheets. Contact Tressa Renee for more information. • The doc cam needs to be connected to teacher tablet with a USB cable

  5. Notes • Browsers: • Firefox version 17 or later(should be pushed out already) • If not, refer to the instructions on sandi.net/illuminate • Chrome (Illuminate’s preferred browser) • Safari (Macs) • Can’t use iPads for scanning because the GradeCam plugin can’t be installed

Install the GradeCam Plugin Go to the Windows Start Button Open the Control Panel Open Run Advertised Programs Select GradeCam* Select RunSelect Download - it should download the program after a minute or soSelect Run again - it should install at this pointClose Run Advertised Programs and then re-open and you should see Successful in the GradeCam row. If you don’t, repeat steps from “Select GradeCam” Close Run Advertised Programs and the Control Panel When you are ready to use GradeCam in Illuminate, it takes a minute for the GradeCam software to load. You will know when GradeCam is ready for scanning when you see your image on the webcam screen. *If you don’t see GradeCam, you can install the plugin in Illuminate when you begin scanning.

  14. Switching between the Integrated Camera and the Doc Cam 1. Select Settings 2. Select the camera in the “Selected Camera” dropdown 3. Select “Save Settings”
