Rules • When there is 1 vowel it usually says the short sound • When there are 2 vowels the first one is usually is a long vowel and the second on is silent. • There are many sounds that do not follow the rules some of these are called special sounds: like the word sky • (the y makes the long i sound.)

  6. Activity • You have to the end of this song to find as many 3 letter words with one vowel in the class and write them down. GO
