Nazi intolerance of diversity – the Jews 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 In 1933 there were 500,000 Jews in Germany The immediate seizure of power did not lead directly to directives in the ‘Jewish question’ There was independent SA action – concessions were made and on the 1 April there was a boycott of all Jewish-owned business

There were further outbursts of anti-Semitic violence; marriage laws were planned. 15 Sept 1935 – Hitler makes a speech to members of the Reichstag who came to Nuremberg, announcing the laws
