Edgren High SchoolBaseball PROGRAM GOALS • Field a successful team at two levels: • In the classroom – academics • On the field • Provide each player with the opportunity to learn, develop, and improve baseball skills on a daily basis. • Provide each player with an atmosphere that encourages mental, social, and emotional maturity.

Edgren High SchoolBaseball Player Expectations and Accountability • Strive for excellence in the classroom. • Understand and follow the Athletic Code of Conduct and all Team Rules at all school and team events. • Be on time and prepared for all practices and games. • Any player unable to attend a practice or game must directly notify his coach. Do not send a message with a friend. • Unexcused absences from a practice or a game will result in a loss of playing time and possible further discipline.

Edgren High SchoolBaseball Academic Eligibility • Students are ineligible if: • They have 2 or more F’s • Their GPA is below a 2.0 • If a player is ineligible, they can not play in games that week and will use practice time to work on academics • If a player misses three games due to ineligibility, he will be removed from the team

Edgren High SchoolBaseball Travel Numbers & Expectations • Plane Trips (Sasebo and Iwakuni) • Can only take 13 players • Travelling players will be notified at practice on Tuesday • Bus Trips (All other locations) • Can take 15 players • Travelling Players will be notified at practice on Tuesday • Far East Tournament (Zama/Atsugi) • Can only take 13 players • Eligibility for Far East events is done one month prior to the event • Players will wear a shirt and tie on game days/travel days

Robert D. Edgren High SchoolBaseball Fundraisers • Fundraisers will be set up during the season to help with purchasing needed baseball equipment and to ease the cost of traveling. • Hit-A-Thon • Bake sale
Robert D. Edgren High SchoolBaseball Practice Schedule • Weekdays • Indoor – varies according to pre-determined schedule • Currently: 1500 to 1800 at Weasels’ Den • Outdoor - 1500-1700
