Profil: • beschäftigt sich mit der Analyse, Beurteilung und Prognose von Prozessen und deren Wechselwirkungen in vorwiegend agrarisch genutzten Landschaften • inter- und transdisziplinäre integrative Forschung ist auf die Fragestellungen zur Entwicklung ländlicher Räume gerichtet • sieben Institute, mehrere zentrale Einrichtungen sowie eine exzellente experimentelle Ausstattung

Beschäftigte: • Personal (Stand 31.01.2006) • 247 planmäßig Beschäftigte davon 83 Wissenschaftler/innen, 60 Drittmittelbeschäftigte • 2 Stipendiaten, 18 Doktoranden, 6 Diplomanden (Stand: 23.08.2006) Kernkompetenzen: • 13 EU-Projekte, 7 Verbundprojekte, 12 DFG-Projekte • Kooperationen mit Universitäten, Hochschulen, Fachhochschulen im In- und Ausland www.zalf.de
