Grant Highlights Background • KRS 158.844, the mathematics diagnostic assessment and intervention services and program(s) selected must be: • provided to a student by a certified teacher with training in mathematics diagnostic assessment and intervention services • based on reliable, replicable research; and • based on the ongoing assessment of individual student needs. MITs • Must be highly trained, qualified and certified, with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience • Provide small group interventions ½ of the day • Recommended Group Sizes – 1 to 5 students Programs • Math Recovery (AVMR) • Number Worlds Assurance Document

Next Steps Register for Webex WebexMeetings will begin in September. If you are a first or second year MIT or an EERTI Leader, you will be automatically registered and will receive a confirmation email. Experienced MITs (level 3+) who are not EERTI Leaders should register for a monthly meeting of their choosing—go to the KCM Calendar (http://kymath.org ). AVMR1 Updates Be sure to get updated! Stay tuned for details about many coming free opportunities provided by the KCM to learn about and acquire new tools, including the revised Add+Vantage MR structuring assessments, now aligned to the Math Recovery models and providing more insights into student understanding and skills.
