Oxus has been servicing 37 MHA member-hospitals since 2004 and operates the central treatment facility
Reengineered Pittsfield, Maine plant in 2009 to increase capacity to over 11 million lbs annually
Maine hospitals produce 2.2 million lbs

Optional reusable sharps containers in hospitals reduce RMW additional 2-3%
Disposable sharps container recycling totals over 250,000 lbs of plastic removed from waste stream annually
6. ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES Fleet Management
Entire Oxus-owned fleet converted in 2008 to run on B100 biodiesel (B60 during colder months)
Prior to plant opening, all Maine hospital waste was being trucked to Rhode Island for treatment
Significantly reduced fleet fuel consumption
7. ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES Plastics Recycling
