Knit first stitch as a normal knit stitch, yo for the 2nd, knit 3rd stitch as usual , yo for the 4th, and knit the 5th as a normal knit stitch. • Yo– yarn over • K1 tbl – knit 1 stitch through the back loop. This twists the yo stitches from the previous row to eliminate gaps in the knitted fabric. • Ssk– slip, slip, knit. Creates a left-leaning decrease. • K2tog – Knit two together. Creates a right-leaning decrease. • Sl2tog, k1, psso- slip next 2 stitches to right needle as if to k2tog. Knit next stitch, and pass slipped stitches over the stitch just knit. Cast on 90 st onto circular needles. Join to knit in the round (making sure work is not twisted), and place a marker to indicate the beginning of the round.
