  3. Healthy Schools Healthy Schools supports the link between good health, behavior and achievement through a whole school approach. 5. Clubs John Donne offers a wide range of school provisions. Breakfast club from 7:45am until 8.50am. After School Club facility from 3.30pm - 6.00pm. Various sports clubs including Multi Sports, Football and Dance. Knitting Club : Children (aged roughly 8 - 11) are absolutely incredible! They knit beautifully and have such a keen eye for colour. I was even more impressed that, out of the sizeable group that turns up most days, at least 5 of them were boys. Music clubs including choir and recorder club

  6. Cooking Club A weekly Let’s get cooking club which provides the children with an opportunity to prepare healthy and nutritious meals. Parents and teachers are encouraged to bring food in and submit menu ideas. Which are then sent for nutritional evaluation. There is an international day each month where different food from around the globe is tried out. The school is very ethnically mixed. Observations Virtually all the children appeared to be eating a good variety of food including vegetables. The quality of the food was very high. All the children were friendly and sociable and the School Council children, in particular, took great pride in the quality of the school dinners and their contribution to the production of the meals, from gardening to testing out different international menu ideas.

  7. Eco Statement • The Eco-Team at John Donne have earned the school a bronze award and proudly display its silver badge, through its demonstration of being a sustainable school.
