  12. Scenario 1 Caitlin is an Indigenous Australian. She would like to study nursing when she completes her VCE. She estimates she will get an ATAR of 75 but nursing is not listed as one of the Monash Guarantee courses. Caitlin’s ATAR is very close to the 2013 clearly-in ATAR. Using the SEAS calculator, Caitlin can estimate that her adjusted ATAR 80-80.95. Caitlin can feel confident that by completing a SEAS application she will receive an offer to study nursing.

  13. Scenario 2 Caroline thinks she will get an ATAR of 85 and wants to study Biomedical Science. She knows that last year the clearly-in was 90. Caroline is on Youth Allowance so she is eligible for the Monash Guarantee. Caroline knows she will get an offer if she achieves an ATAR above 84 and completes a SEAS application.

  14. Scenario 3 Angus is studying VCE at Dandenong High School (a MURS). He applies for MBBS at Monash with a UMAT score of 190 (cut off 195).
