KIRKCALDY New Estate - January 21st 1961 The key to the first house to be occupied at the new Raith housing estate was handed over to Mr Robert Buchan, an engineer and former Raith Rovers player today. He, his wife and two children travelled from the west of Scotland and moved into the four bedroomed house. The bungalow type house has three bedrooms, a streamlined kitchen and a lounge come dining room which can be turned into two rooms if the owner so wishes. Fife Free Press
