  2. IMPORTANT! Include Science Teacher name on the PAPER copies of research plan and paperwork that you turn in. September 30th(next Tuesday) is the deadline for submitting research plan and paperwork.

  3. Projects to be reviewed by Landrum’s Scientific Review Committee (SRC) and/or Institutional Review Board (IRB) : Human Subjects Vertebrate Animals Microorganisms Hazardous Activities (Chemical Reactions, Electricity, Fire) All other projects do not require special approval and can begin once paperwork is reviewed and corrected.

How Will the Approval Process Proceed? • Step 1: Submit PAPER copies of research plan and forms to Mr. Anzelmo for initial review. • Step 2: Make corrections and revisions to research plan and paperwork. • Step 3: Check your (parents) email SOON for a message from scifair@outlook.comand respond. • Step 4: Get invite for Dropbox and set up your account. • Step 5: Place corrected DIGITAL documents in your Dropbox account. • Step 6: Send email to scifair@outlook.com stating that you are ready for SRC/IRB review. • Step 7: Periodically check your email and Dropbox for forms that are approved (“PASS” folder) or ones that need further attention (“Requires Further Action”) • Step 8: If paperwork “Requires Further Action”, make corrections, place in Dropbox, and send email to scifair@outlook.comstating that corrections are completed. • Step 9: Cross your fingers an wait for project approval email from scifair@outlook.com

  12. How Do I Place My Documents in the Dropbox?

  13. Step 1 You will be sent an email with an invitation to your private “Dropbox” document repository.

  15. Step 3 Create your account or sign-in if you already have one If you have an existing Dropbox you must use the email associated with it for the science fair folder share.

Finally: Send an Email to scifair@outlook.com Let us know that all your documents are sitting in the repository for approval If something “Requires Further Action” It will be placed in the requires further attention folder in your Dropbox. All approved documents will be placed in the “Pass Folder”

  21. If your paperwork receives a comment or the reviewer cannot sign it until its corrected, you will receive an email to view your “requires further action” folder. The comments will be attached to the document on a “post it” note.

DROPBOX CHECKLIST: Allmust be in Dropbox for approval Research Plan (file clearly named) Bibliography (file clearly named) Forms 1, 1A, 1B Additional forms specific to your project: Human Subjects (form 4), Vertebrate Animals (form 5A/B), Microorganisms (6), Hazardous chemicals or activities (3)

For projects with Human Subjects: • For project approval, you will need to submit ONE copy of YOURHuman Informed Consent Formfor review • Can be found under All Science Fair Forms on Landrum Scifair website • AFTER appoval, you will need a copy of this form for EVERY participant you test. They can be PAPER copies, signed in ink, and kept in your binder. I’M SORRY
