  2. level four: AP pre-course Start with a focus on spoken interpersonal • Consider ten primary objectives on page 8 • “student engages in the oral exchange of information, opinions, and ideas in a variety of time frames in formal and informal situations.” • “student understands a variety of vocabulary, including idiomatic and culturally appropriate expressions.” • Then focus achievement level descriptors • “at level four students initiate, maintain and close conversations on familiar topics.”
