3. 1.名詞+動詞-ing (單數的名詞是此及物動詞的受詞 ) • time-consuming 耗時的 • Compiling a book is a job which consumes time. • →Compiling a book is a time-consuming job. Practice Q:I take pity on the boy whose heart is broken. A.:I take pity on the heart-breaken boy.

4. 2.名詞+動詞-en ( 由V-en+by+ N而來，如made by man ) • hand-made. 手製的 • This is a dress which was made by hand. • →This is a hand-made dress. Practice The couple sat at a table which was lit by a candle. →The couple sat at a candle-lit table.

5. 3.形容詞+動詞-ing ( 此adj為此型連綴動詞之補語 ) • good-looking 面貌矯好的 • He is a young model who looks good. • →He is a good-looking young model. Practice They make fun of the woman who looks ugly. →They make fun of the ugly-looking woman.
