  2. Le Tour and Britain • The race is over 100 years old. • British riders have won the last two races. Does anybody know their names? • Cycling is becoming one of the most popular sports in Great Britain. We are currently one of the best cycling countries in the world.

  3. This year is very special because… • It starts in the UK • The race will end in London on the third stage and - Some of you will have the chance to go and watch it live!

  4. Lionel Primary School at Le Tour • I will be taking 15 children to watch the race live on Monday 7th July 2014 • We will be leaving school at in the morning and will come back after school has finished. • What’s more is that we will be watching the race at…

  8. What you need to do to enter the competition • I can only take 15 children on Monday 7th July. • If you would like to stand a chance of going all you need to do is write me a letter explaining why I should take you. • It might be that you love cycling. It may be that you’d like to experience something new. Whatever the reason make sure you write the best that you can. • You can include pictures and diagrams if you would like. I don’t mind if you use a computer, or if you hand write it. • It does not have to be long. But remember, you’ve got to persuade me to take you!!

  9. Fast, Fun, Dangerous....and something you’ll never ever forget • So, if you would like to be in with a chance of going, please return your letter to me by Friday 13th June.
