The project aims to reintroduce late-run winter steelhead into the Upper North Fork Lewis River, Washington, focusing on using F1 wild broodstock hatchery adults from Lewis River Hatchery. Implemented as part of the MAP Dam Relicensing initiated in 1995, the goal is to release 800 adult steelhead through a carefully planned breeding program. Genetic analysis, broodstock collection, and spawning protocols are vital components of the program.
