Israel Elwyn • Founded in 1984 at the initiative of the Municipality of Jerusalem, the Government of Israel and the US-based Elwyn Inc. • A non-profit organization registered in Israel (Amuta) • Serves today more than 2000 children and adults with special needs -- Israeli and Palestinian alike. • Major Program Locations: Western and Eastern Jerusalem, Haifa, Ra’anana/Herzliya, Beer-Sheva, Beit Shemesh. • (Job Training Program is provided nationally).

Every employee, based on his/her preferences and vocational abilities, is capable of finding inclusive employment in the community. The Core Beliefs of the Program • Employees with disabilities have the right to equal employment opportunities in the job market, and to be included in every sector of employment • Every employee is entitled to the supports necessary to allow him/her to be included in the job market at-large
Programs’ Main Facts • Support is provided, if necessary, for the entire period of employment • 200 Supported Employees with Disabilities • 150 Employers • 80 % are employed in the private sector: coffee shops, shops, kindergartens, factories, offices, gardens, senior homes, kitchens, etc. • 20 % are employed in the public sector: government offices, local government offices, the Supreme Court of Israel and public institutions (museums, universities, hospitals, etc.) • Fair Salaries and Benefits as determined by law
